Coffee & brunch in Lisbon

Neighbourhood Cafe / Australian-inspired coffee bar

I’d argue that off of the places I have visited, Portugal does brunch best. Dishes are budget-friendly, flavorful and fresh, and prepared swiftly in beautifully-outfitted environments – and often, you can enjoy that avocado toast with a freshly squeezed juice from the comfort of a sunny, streetside seat and people watch the morning away. Lisbon is certainly where I picked up my daily brunch habit, a by product of working East Coast time while travelling and not needing to report for duty until 2 PM in the afternoon. This list captures some of my favorite eats, as well as the ones I didn’t have a chance to try personally but would still recommend.

Koa Lisboa / Bright spot for fresh juice and smoothies

Ludo’s / Sunny cafe with colorful breakfast plates

Dear Breakfast / Always packed, but delicious for brunch
