Afternoon at the Columbia Road Flower Market

This market was recommend to me for my first full weekend in London, and I am so glad I stopped by – even on a dreary, rainy day, the street was packed to the brim with vendors shouting off the prices in thick accents, people strolling around with backpacks stuffed with bright blooms, and little pups keeping warm in their mini raincoats and boots. I loved every minute of it – and it is the perfect stop for a Sunday morning before heading into Shoreditch for some shopping. There are a few spots along Columbia Road also worth popping into, namely: @masonandpainter and @strawlondon for homewares, @pavilion_bakery for coffee and a treat, and @brawn49 or @marksmanpublichouse for drinks / lunch, as well as @thefriendsofours and @mikellerbeer nearby. I will add other places as I hear of them! So much to explore in this city, and not enough time (or daylight, frankly) in the day to do it all.
